Refine

Introduction

Refine provides rewrites to improve text quality based on configured rules, such as ensuring messages are always clear and on-brand.

Enablement

Once the Ready Checklist shows all required steps are completed, Refine can be enabled from the NeonNow Admin app by switching on the main Refine toggle.

When enabling Refine, a confirmation modal asks you to acknowledge that IQ-generated content may not always be accurate and that your organisation and its users are responsible for reviewing and using it appropriately. Unlike the other IQ features, Refine provisions a dedicated Amazon Bedrock agent, so the modal also notes that IQ will create a new Amazon Bedrock agent and that any usage will generate additional charges.

Because Refine is the only feature with an agent, it is also the only feature that shows a turn-off confirmation modal when disabled, warning that IQ will remove the Amazon Bedrock agent previously created for it.

Evaluate

Evaluate allows agents to ask IQ for detailed feedback on text based on the tone and language rules you enable. This could be to encourage a more professional tone, or a more empathetic tone for delicate situations. After evaluating, IQ may also suggest rewrites.

Evaluate is controlled by its own toggle within Refine. Once enabled, select the Tone and Language rules and personas that IQ uses to present refinement options to agents:

• Casual (Tone) - relaxed, conversational, and friendly.
• Empathetic (Tone) - warmth, care, and emotional sensitivity.
• Profanity-Free (Language) - flags inappropriate or offensive language.
• Professional (Tone) - formal, respectful, and business-appropriate.
